Carlos' is a '99, so it has not had the internal lubrication changes that the later transfer cases got. Kwik replaced his whole unit after discovering all the differences, despite having already cracked it open for a look-see inside (which was a real BEAR, as I recall). Hopefully Dan will see this and chime in.
Of course, at this point we're not yet sure it's really even the transfer case.
Hey guys noth'n new to report on the truck, I had a minute and just wanted to say thanks for the responses. My boss who's also a ver y close friend just informed me that he bought the office w/shop attached, so now I just need to get'r towed over there so I can crawl underneath and take a look. I was drive'n on a washboard road when all this happend. It's gonna have to wait until next weekend though. I hope to maybe get off alittle early to do my inspection. Thanks guys & Marv it's always good just to chat with yah. Tom thank you very much also, but I think I got'r handled now. If I get to Billing I'll let know, we'll have some coffe.
Hey guys, well I did have a local shop in Dickinson ND take a look at my truck after I found out that it wasn't the motor on my T-case that went bad. As it turns out it looks to be either my Torque converter went bad, or the input shaft broke. When the Tranny tech dropped my pan it had quite a bit of shavings stuck to the magnet in the pan, not good. I had to leave for Oklahoma the next day, so my truck had to be put on hold untill I get back there in a month to get it fixed. I have a company truck to get around, so it's not to bad. Anyhow just wanted to give you update. I'm hope'n for some warranty work, or maybe alittle help from TCS if is the T-converter. Take care and we'll talk at ya'll soon.
