Pondering this 1937 truck

Or what's left of it, lol. Anyway, are the fenders interchangeable with the cars of the same year? The seller says $250 or make offer. I'm trying to figure if there's $250 worth of parts, since that is all it would be good for.

Scott - I looked in James Wagner's book and don't see any pickups or big trucks with the car fenders, grille, and hood. Are you sure that started life as a truck and not as a car? Or maybe as a woodie or sedan delivery? I'd have to think you could recover your investment with no trouble plus make some money. Stu

What throws me off is the headlights like on a car, too. He sent 4 pictures, I'll add the fourth here. It looks to be a stock cab, though. I bet the front clip is a car added to it. The back profile of the hood doesn't look to line up with the cowl profile.

It's a car, or maybe a sedan delivery, that has had the back end hacked off and a rear section grafted on. That actually wasn't all that uncommon. I have seen photos of other vehicles that were made into trucks like that.
For $250 you will certainly make your money back. That front end is all car parts, and you should be able to find buyers for the parts.

Boy, Scott, that's absolute truth. Seeing something like this go unrescued and at risk of the crusher is worse than having somebody else buy it out from under you. Glad it got saved.

If I might hijack your thread a bit, I'm swapping notes right now with Mark, Thundershow70, about this old panel he's found. I love these ton and half panels, and would love to rescue it. We'll have to see. Stu

That'd be great! I'd be happy to get any panel at this point. I've always wanted one, and pickups just keep filling the void, lol.
