I started loading my CD's from the 1970s into Jukebox, as I travel to and from work. I have over 200 of them and figured that I would load just the ones 'really' wanted.
After loading about 6, I realized that the Sirus satellite system has a 70s channel and are playing all the hits that I like, and a WHOLE bunch I don't have CDs for. Brings back some good memories...
The truck came with 6 months free trial....
I think I might trash the idea of loading the CDs...Even though I sometimes get in the mood for some Tull...

yeh. I still have original vinyl that I schlep around and 'intend' to digitize.
most of it is already online, but the prices are crazy.. I'm not paying full price for stuff I already own in a different format.
wish that Russian AllofMP3 site still existed.. I spent about $100 and downloaded about 75 albums.
but everybody has to have their exact cut of the take.
last I heard 10% of $1 is more than 100% of no sale.

Yes this is possible with a Iphone4. anything that the phone "plays" will play through the Bluetooth to your Sync. Jukebox is a good backup in case you are somewhere and you can't get satellite or cell, like being stuck in the Lincoln tunnel.
and when your 6 months subscription runs out...don't be on a big hurry to subscribe. You will get a coupon in the mail a couple weeks later, offering another 6 months for $4 per month.
By the time I got my coupon, I had already subscribed....and they wouldn't give me a credit.
This was Sirus Canada....not sure if the US is the same.

Pandora is the best thing to happen to music in a very long time. I've been a subscriber for a couple of years. Have a blue ray player in the family room hooked up to the surround sound, and it connects to Pandora, so that's our home stereo. Love it. Didn't even think about trying to connect it via the phone in my truck - thanks!
The jukebox is great if you just picked up a new CD and want to load it in on the road - I've done that a few times. IMO you're better off ripping it once you get home, and storing it on a USB flash drive. I use an 8G one that holds a metric crapload of music. You can also carry multiple flash drives for different types of music. I keep a couple alternative ones in my center console. takes up very little room, and I have about 20G of music available via voice command or on screen menu. Now that the price on these things is going down... it would be pretty easy to have a million-ish songs available on a $40 drive
FWIW, as a systems engineer I don't recommend using an "external hard drive" for this purpose. Yes, you can hold a lot more music... but you will also lose that music at some point when the drive fails. Even the best drive cases don't do much to dampen the harsh vibrations that a vehicle experiences. If you have a good backup and are okay replacing the drive on a somewhat regular basis... you can store a lot more. Just be SURE you have a good backup. my.02

I've played Pandora with Sync and my Android phone via bluetooth. Works like a champ.
