FE Block Clutch Release

Hey everyone, I am planning to drop my motor into my 67 f-100 tomorrow. However, I was just looking at all the clutch release components before i actually dropped the motor in. And i had a question about the clutch release bar assembly. If viewing the the clutch release components shown on this page:
(LMC Truck Parts - Page 52)
it is number one.

If i remember correctly the bar has a ball and socket type joint on either side and one of the ***** is actually connected to the block. Is this correct? does that bar connect to a thing that is bolted to the block and the other end to the frame? Because i believe when i dropped the block off at the machine shop it was on the block, and when i got it back it wasnt there.

I hope this is all making sense. If you guys can understanding what im trying to say and could confirm my theory of how things work down there (in the truck i mean ) that would be great. thanks

My 289 was a ball on the bell, a bracket on the subframe rail. Your set up is similar. Your LMC expanded parts picture shows the frame bracket, part number 10.
