I have a 2004 Excursion 6.0 diesel with 99K miles. I am using an Auto Enginuity Scanner. The vehicle is running very sluggish and is getting a P2262 (no turbo boost) code. I have checked the MAP hose and wires and looked for any obvious leaks. I do not have a Catalytic Convertor and do not believe the exhaust is restricted. I checked the air filter and assembly going to the turbo. I also check the vanes on the turbo and they look pretty clean and turns freely without any restriction.
Before I start spending money buying parts, what else should I check physically or check using my AE scanner? What would you replace? MAP sensor?
No. I did not remove it. It was replaced under warranty about 40K miles ago. When I remove it the turbo, other than check to see if the vanes are not in a bind, what else should I check?
If you do remove the turbo and recondition it you will need this parts kit.
4C4Z-9V424-AA Comes with everything including 3M sanding kit. cost about 65.00 from www.partsguyed.com
I looked that code up in the tech folder{ p2262 no boost-mechnical}
I dont know what that exactly means
If it were me I would check
fuel pressure minnimum 45 psig
ficm 48volt
vgt control siliniod duty cycle mines around 60 at idle
icp
ipr
how longs it been since fuel filters
checked for an y-pipe exhaust leak to turbo
good checklist in tech folder for low power condition
maybe a tech will chime in and hit the nail on the head
