I just bought a set of Mile Marker 449SS manual hubs to replace my auto hubs, I have 2 questions.
I have a 2000 F250 SD CC, the Mile Marker site lists the 449SS as the right part number but also shows that it needs an additional hub nut part. Most of the posts I've seen have noted that the part is not actually needed, I just wanted to make sure before I tear everything apart.
Second questions, I'll have to take the wheels off as I'll I have to remove the aftermarket center cap, the wheel has all lock lugs. I was going to replace the lugs while I had the wheel off but I'm getting conflicting info on the lug sizes. Most tech forums and such list anything before '03 as M14x2, the 2000 owners manual list the lug size as M14X1.5 (which should be on '03 and above)
Any thoughts or should I just buy both sizes just in case?
I just ordered the 449SS kit also. I have a 2001 Dually, so I ordered the conversion spindle kit (# 9532721). I believe that the only real issue will be with the recessed locking handle with the dually type front wheel.
I was fairly sure they would sit further in than the stock hubs. I have Eagle alloys on the truck now and the fronts have an extended center cap with a hub opening. Those are going to have to come off.
