uni questions & decode

Hi everyone haven't been on site for over a year .I originally joined last February,I had a 65 f100 long bed custom cab 352 auto ,sold it . I purchased a 63 uni long bed since .I was reading old posts about uni's the post was 12/08/99 #6 it mentioned a date code above blower motor cover . Does this code mean the truck was built on that date or the body was built on that date ?? Mine is 4 /15/3 .Number Dummy could you chime in,is that true? Can someone decode door tag f 250 405379 wb 122 color m model f250 body 66a trans f axle 27 gvwr7400 135hp @3800 rpm dso 51 Thanks for the help.

It means the stamping for the firewall made on that date.

Your vin will tell you what month it was born which was April of 1963. Which coincides with the stamping. There are a few others around the truck they mean nothing.

Can someone decode door tag.

F25C?405379 / wb 122 / color M / model F250 / body 66A / trans F / axle 27 / gvwr 7400 / 135 Cert. net HP (292 2V-VIN code C) / RPM 3800 / DSO 51.
The VIN has omissions, you may have typed it in-correctly. The Warranty Plate's AXLE code is in-correct.

The VIN should read: F25, then a letter for the engine code, another letter for the assembly plant, then the last 6 numbers denote the serial number.

F25 = F250 2WD

C = 292 2V

Assembly Plant code omitted.

405379 = 1963, assembled April 1963.

122" Wheelbase.

M = Corinthian White.

F250 2WD, 7,500 lbs. GVWR.

66A = Unit Body...Body Style.

F = Borg Warner T-98 4 Speed Manual Transmission.

27 = Please double check, this code is not listed for any 1961/65.

7,400 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.

135 net HP @ 3,800 RPM.

51 = Denver CO Ford District Sales Office, where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.

Since it was ordered from CO, the VIN's assembly plant code could be K = Kansas City MO
