Speedometer gears

Surely there must be more information somewhere on correcting the speedometer for non standard tires. I am rebuilding an NP205 transfer case and want to put in the correct speedometer gear now so I don't have to tear into it again later. I am going to be running 35" tires and 4.56 gears in my '79 super cab. I have searched this site and followed the links to a few speed correction calculators but nothing that sheds any light on which plastic gear to install. Anyone have any more information than this. Even gear part numbers and what truck they are designed for would be helpful. If I could gather enough information maybe I could write a tech article that would easily answer this question for the next guy.

Speedometer gears

I just got a Mac's catalog, and it lists the PNs for the gears. They're not made for a specific vehicle; they just have a particular shape, tooth count, & direction, and several will fit fullsize trucks.
