Put the new belt on and eyeball it. The pulley hub should be flush with the end of the pump shaft. And make sure your not a rib off on any pulleys

I'm back!
Sorry about not posting but I've been without a pc for about 6 weeks!!
I repaired the tran coolant connectors and lines, put a new belt and realigned it.
Replaced the tran fluid I lost.

Everythings good.

Thanks again

Replacing Power steering pump with a powerstroke

Great thread, now I feel comfortable tackling this myself. I lost a power steering pump on my '94 E350 IDI and was able to pull one that looked identical off a 95 stroker, but now that I go to put it on I noticed the Powerstroke pump it has an additional inlet near the top. Anyone know what this is for? If it just goes to a resevoir for more fluid, could I just seal it up and use it?
Thanks,
Andi

An extra inlet as in a hose barb connection in the plastic reservoir just below the filler cap?
If so, that's for the return line from a hydroboost brake booster. You can just plug it and good to go.
