Engine changes pitch when headlights turned on
Hey good morning, I was am hoping someone knows about my 97 diesel odd behavior of the engine seems to loose power and the brake lights and right turn signal quit working when I turn on the headlights

Sounds familiar. You sure all your light are on? Sounds like a short. This just happened to me after beating the crap out of some suspension parts. I drove it to the store, it was getting dark and I turned on the head lamps and the engine died. The check engine and right turn signal on the dash we're partly lit.
Odd, I didnt believe it, then the engine wouldnt even start till the headlamps we're off...No biggie, passenger side headlamp came loose and grounded out somewhere. Just check your lights for a short.
