im looking at a bronco a 1996 with the back seat fliped up how large is the area back there. i like to camp out in my trucks at bonfires. im about 5'10''
Yeah, when me and my son take the Bronco out for a camp trip, we flip the seat up and it's plenty of room for our sleeping bags, coolers, tent, camp stove, lanterns and firewood. I'm 6'3"-290 and he's 4'-50lbs. It's plenty of room for our gear but not for sleeping.
Not at all, the roof remains stock, the four bases distribute the weight very well. I've used it with companion (only 1 girl) and i've had no issues (i must add i weight aprox. 220lbs). There is more drag and i lost a little pick up and 1-2 MPG, the center of gravity feels unchanged. The main dis-advantage is the new height prevents me from accesing some buildings and parking lots.
It was custom built at a shop... as i have no welding equipment. I paid a little over $600 for everything (it was worth over $1000, so i got quite a deal).
