2 years and 3000 posts

To all my FTE friends,

It will be 2 years on April 19th that I first found this website. I was an unfortunate owner of a 2004 F250 with the 6.0 engine. I thought I had done my due diligence and bought the right truck. Did not work out that way.

After finding FTE, I asked for help from the many qualified and generous guy's that frequent the 6.0 section. To them, Bismic, Cheezit, Vloney and too many more to remember, I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for all their help.

After a freak turbo failure, Cheezit talked me out of a 6.4 purchase and into a 2011 6.7. I thank my good friend for that direction. Nothing against the 6.4 but I just decided that after discussions with Moe, I wanted the Ford designed engine.

It has been 9 months and 23000 miles since I purchased the new truck. At the time, many thought that an early purchase put me in "beta" tester" mode. I lightheartedly agreed. During my participation in the 6.7 section of FTE, I made more friends. Many of us have talked on the phone. It is a great group of guy's that hang out here. I have learned a lot about this great new truck. I have shared what I have learned, either from the group or from my personal experiences, with other inquiring owners or prospective purchasers in an attempt to "pay it forward" for all the help I have received. I hope I have helped a few guy's out.

The moderators here do an outstanding job of making this the best place in the Ford world to come for current information. They do a great job of keeping the troublemakers and trolls that ruin the other web board's in check. Thanks guy's and keep up the good work.

I have noticed that their job has gotten a bit tougher as the number of posters grows daily. It is my hope that the civility that has reigned supreme here for my two years of participation continues.

Have a Great April 1st, there are no fools who reside here.

3000 and counting...thanks for listening

Respectfully

Rick

Thank you, Ric. Reading yours and others' posts on here for a couple of months last year is what got me into my 6.7 as well. Even with some of the minor issues I've seen, this truck is more than I ever imagined.

I've read a decent percentage of your 3,000 posts and I enjoy each and every one of them.

And I hear around my office that there's a facebook problem (employees on facebook during business hours). I don't have that problem, but I do have an FTE problem... highly addicted to this site.

Will there be a "Best of Rickatick" thread in the future?

You could paste in some of your best ones from RV.net, Chevy and Dodge Forums.

I am now checking the Colorado DMV to see if RIKATIC is an option for my new plates.

Enjoy your friendship

...now that made me laugh...I do have some rvnet posts but I have never bothered to register at OB sites...just go there once in a while to look around and see how many lies they are telling...if my discussions with the Dodge boys were posted here, thet would likely be deleted...too much drama

Thanks to all for the kind words
