I just bought a 69 F100 Ranger,302, 97,000 miles. Nice truck, the left rear tire spins instead of the right. I can't remember that in any other vehicle I've owned. Is that normal in these trucks?
Unless something major on the right is broke (axleshaft) you just have a open diffrental. Traction goes to the wheel with the least traction. Best way to describe the effect is parked on a patch of ice one wheel or the other spins not both. So maybe the right brake is sticking a little.
What your saying makes sense. I never thought of the brake. The right rear never spins and the rearend makes some noise, so i was imagining the worst. Thanks.
