Good Saturday morning everyone. Anyone want some snow? I'm about sick of it.

I'm going to start painting the upstairs bedroom today. Been putting it off for 7 years now. Maybe I ought to put it off another 7 years, and go work on the truck. How about you?

Working today. We shut down the plant for our 18 month cycle refueling this morning. I'll be on 6 day weeks, 12 hour days through may. At least I get Fridays off.

I work at a nuclear power station, just north of Omaha. I repair/calibrate all of the portable radiation meters, and the personel monitors. Love my job, but the outages can get tiring.

How about you?

Nuclear scientist? LOL sounds like a good job. I'm a painter by trade, but theres not much I can't do in construction.

I just sort of worked my way into it, not a lot of experience. I worked on aircraft in the Navy, mostly the hydraulics and airframe. I had to take some classes in electronics, and do a lot of on the job training. Your work should be picking up here pretty soon, shouldn't it?

It will if this weather ever stops. I understand what you mean about calibrating electronics, I was a communications specialist in the Army.

Took me a while to pick it up. I've been doing it for 5 years now. Love the work, it's always something different, and I don't have to go into the containment building anymore during outages, which is just fine with me!

Well, gonna grab some lunch, I'll swing back by in a while.
