Your first dentside

The first dentside I've owned is the one I bought last spring. You can see pics of it in my garage. '78 F-150 4x4 I6, that I got for $500. I've now got more money stuck into it than it'll ever be worth again, but oh well.
First dent I ever drove was my dad's '78 Crew Cab when I was in high school. He didn't know about it, I don't think.

The first dent that I consider mine, was the '73 F100 2x4 my dad bought when I (and the truck as well) were only 3 years old. We technically still have that truck, but parked it a few years ago when the cab mounts got so bad they wouldn't hold up the cab anymore. I needed the 390 we had put in it about 15 years ago for a '66 galaxie I'm currently restoring, so we decided it was time to part it out.
But, the first Dent I bought with my own money, was one I actually got on a trade. The first Ford truck I bought with my own money was a '72 F100 4x2 that someone at some point put a 429 in. I was 16 at the time. It wasn't a good truck for a 16 yr old to have. after getting arrested for drag racing (I was raceing a trans am and keeping neck and neck with it), I decided I better sell it or end up in more trouble or dead. So a guy I worked with at the grocery store had a '78 F100 2x4 that someone had put a 289 with a manual trans in. It had dual exhaust with glasspacks and it sounded fast, but wasn't. Plus it had cool chrome wheels. He offered me that truck plus a couple hundred for my truck with the 429. Of course I regret it now, but I think it was the smart thing to do the time. I had it for a year or two and sold it I think when I got a '77 4x4. I'd have to sit down with a pen and paper to keep track of all of the ones I have owned and gotten rid of since. Just today I'm working on a deal of getting a 390 with a 428 crank in it for my '74 that will eventually get handed down to my kids someday.
