PCV questions/issues

Hey guys have a problem and some questions.
Problem is I'm getting quite a bit of oil residue in the intake from the pcv tube. It causing poor mpg and loss of power and stalling and i am losing about 1/2 qt of oil per 5k miles. The truck only has 64k on it and this is the third time I've had to clean the throttle body.
I've looked around and some parts places, rock auto and partsguyed.com say there is a pcv valve, other places don't. So does anyone know for sure?
Also I'm planning on putting an oil separator on this weekend to help,has any one else done this? What's your results/experience.
