Autozone is handy for me so I use Duralast Golds in all my stuff. Not very sexy I guess but they usually outlast the 36mo replacement period and are prorated for 96mo. 65-DLG's are 850 cca and 1000amps@32deg. $102 ea +tax.

+ 1 , AZ is every where and open seven days a week. Warranty does no good on a Sunday or holiday when dealer or supplier is closed. Lot more AZ's around than dealers and if your in their computer you don't need the reciept.
I just put in Sears Platinum's and they are VERY nice and have 100 month warranty with full replacement for 48 months.
They have 930 cca and my truck has never started so quick.
They are a little pricey at almost $200 each.
I've been told that AC Delco are the best. They use to make the die hards, but now I hear they are makin batteries for AZ. I've always had good luck with the die hards, so I will be going to AZ if it is true AC Delco are makin them.
I don't "know" but I worked in a Car Quest store in the 80's (coupe of years ago) and the old guys all said there were just a few places in the country that made batteries. Each manufacturer put their guts in different cases, and generally cheap batteries were made cheaper no matter who's name was on the case.
I was going to go optima deep cycle, but the $$ is crazy. Advanced Auto parts batteries, 850cca, and 2 of them, works like a charm for hte past 2 years, and hte 4 years before it.
