does anyone have pictures of how Dodge ram rims fit on our trucks? such as the offset and what not? Im looking to go with 17s like this:
From what I can tell, they'll bolt right up.
I should clarify, I do have a 2wd truck. Id like to beef it up a bit with the bigger wheels/tires. Its almost impossible to find decent sized tires for 15 inch rims, for cheap
I was going to buy a set of Dodge wheels for my 92, but the offset would have put the wheels too far inwards, (about 2") and the center hole was too small aswell.
I have to say though that the wheels weren't the ones you show in the picture, so my info may be irrelivant.
Ive got a car that I sink money into, to buy the legit parts. I dont need a truck that I have to do the same with.

Mostly becasue its used only for towing and hauling things.

If you read the first quote, I think to a lot of people it sounds like you spend good money on the best parts for your car but your not willing to do so on your truck. And I'd agree with zxwut? in saying that if you put crap parts on the truck it's not going to run right and will be prone to frequent breakdowns.
Your issue with the wheels is confusing me a bit honestly. Are you wanting to use the Dodge rims because you like them? Or are you thinking that a larger diameter wheel will have a larger tire size selection?
And then you ask about junkyard wheels....Just use Ford 15's and buy some used 31s. You can get those often FREE from junkyards and very cheap in classified ads. Even brand new ones are less than $100 (in my area).
Like really, as you said...what exactly is your ultimate goal?

so let me get this straight you just tow with it but you want larger tires that will result in taller gears? i tow and this is the only reason thats holding me back from bigger tires i like my 3,55s
I am having a hard time seeing how putting OE quality wheels from a different manufacturer on this truck is going to result is frequent breakdowns, or any less reliability?
I guess people misunderstood my original post, I know that that wheels will fit, I just didnt know about the offset, becasue I could not find out what stock ones were for both the dodge, and the ford. I didnt ask what people thought of them, or of my spending prefrences towards vehicles. Unfortunately, this will never be more than just a truck for me, it carries building supplies to my house, trash the the dump, shuffle around parts from various projects, and drives me to places on days when the is not nice out and I dont want to take my car, the most towing this thing sees is a light jet-boat. Now, dont get me wrong, I do, and plan to take good care of it, but Im not going out to buy $1000 worth of wheels, then more on tires, just to appease the masses. I have looked at the junkyards for 15 inch tires, but lo and behold, no luck or they are so badly rotted, and really, who buys tires from a junkyard. The places that can get them for me here, want several hundred a tire, and thats hard to justify, especially when they are going onto a ****ty steel wheel anyways. I found these dodge wheels with good quality tires on them, that have very little wear, not to mention better than the current tires that are on the truck, for less than I could get one 15 inch tire.
I simply asked if anyone had a picture of dodge wheels on the truck.
thanks
