White Smoke

I have search previous threads but cant find a case that exactly fits what I saw today.

Truck is a 2008 F-250, 6.4, 4X4. It just hit 38,000 miles, I have owned it since 17,000.

4 days ago I had it in the dealer for the an oil change and the new PCM recall.

Today on the way home, under light accleration, I notice moderate to heavy white smoke from the exhaust for a period of 5 minutes.

The ambient temp was 45 degrees and the smoke only lasted for a short period of time.

I don't believe it was in regen, but then again I can't say with 100% certainity that I didnt miss the message since it doesnt stay on with the new reflash.

No dashboard idiot light or abnormal guage readings.

Any Ideas? Could it be associated with the PCM recall - it has never done this before.

Thanks,
Tawn

I would not worry about it at this time. Drive like you always have. Be sure to watch your coolant level in the degas bottle.

More than likely it was a regen and a semi cold exhaust.

Couple others have reported a regen almost immediately after the reflash.
