Hey guys, here is the deal: When my truck went to the paint-shop they took the tyre carrier down, and when they reinstalled it, they used smaller bolts that didn't hold on the gusseting's threads (the ones facing the rear are fine, the ones facing the side aren't), instead they used a nut on the other side. I want to revert this to the original setup but have been totally unable to find the size of the 4 bolts used on the carrier were the mount faces the side of the truck (seems smaller than 3/8... could be millimetric...). If any of you have the original tyre carrier and can do me this favor i would be very grateful.
Hmmm... i suspected that. If it's metric, then it's a M9.0x1.0. The 9 i'm sure, the 1.0 not so much (but i'm very much sure, as this thread count is one of the biggest, meaning more threads per mm), i guess i'll have to try. Fun stuff, i've only found one place so far selling 9mm bolts, it's either 8 or 10 at all the other places... What would you think of making the holes bigger (with the proper tool of course) to fit 10mm bolts? Those where available everywhere.
