Plug and play? or do I need a switch?

Hello Im new to FTE , Ive been lurking for awhile ,,but deciced to jion recently. I just bought a set of tow mirrors,Heated , turn signal, extenable, for my 2005 f350 PSD , it had paddle mirrors on it I did install the new ones ,,they were easy to install ..How ever my original mirrors did not have heat . My question is do i need a switch to activate the heat or does it stay on all the time?

The heat stays on all the time i believe, but you can wire in a switch to only have it on when you want

Welcome to FTE. Having a switch to control the mirror heat will cut down on water spots on the mirror by turning the heat off in non freezing weather.
