And now time for some truck ****:
I'm planning on putting the 1966 cab on it because I like that body style and 4x4 slicks are cool not to mention its peanuts to swap the 65-79 cabs. As far as suspension goes I'd like to level it because lifted trucks scream "Guesss what I'm compensating for" and putting some 33" ags on it or whatever happens to be cheap then wheel it until it blows up the Dana 44. I'm ok with trimming the fenders on the 66 because the 4x4s had different fenders anyways. There's also plans for a tire carrier that is behind the bumper because the front is way too heavy and maybe a warm 302 between the fenders instead of the 360.
I really hate how front heavy it is even without a bumper and the 360 puts a lot of weight over the weaker axle. 390's don't make much more power than 360's unless you get a good passenger car one, the truck hiding in the 2nd pic has a 67 galaxie 500 390 in it. I like the simple stuff like 302's and 300's especially in farm trucks like these because they don't suck as much gas. The big thing I'm aiming for is light on the front and not a lot of unnecessary weight like winches and a 300lb front bumper.
Well the 65 body will be heavier than the 76. Besides, torque is your best friend off road & nothing says tq like a big block...ok, or a 300-6. Also, I think your pics didn't load right, I'm only showing parts of them, and then the rest is a big gray box lol
