R4 Tech Suspension question

I am looking for a user review of the R4 Tech Suspension. http://www.firestoneindustrial.com/m...ech%20FAQs.pdf

Is the suspension better than stock?

Has the suspension held up to towing use?

Would you recommend it above other similar products?

Thank you,

Only have used the airbags. i didn't know I needed the rest of the suspension parts in my last 4 SuperDuty's. I guess I am money ahead. Will only have bags on my 2011. Which I pick up TODAY!

Woohoo! Congratulations for surviving the order process. Not an easy task.

Is it worth it?

Your point is kind of what I'm getting at, is it really necessary for the leaf springs to be replaced? Is it that more important to replace the leaf springs in addition to getting the bags or just get self leveling bags?

I'd like to hear from someone who replaced the springs as well as added the bags to see if this expense is worth it.

I had a self leveling air suspension in my Yukon and it was nice when towing an enclosed 25' vehicle trailer. Now that I'm looking at towing a tractor, horses and equipment I'd like to have the same self leveling feature.

I'm wondering the same thing. I've looked at the R4Tech and if I install it on my new KR (made the down payment yesterday ), it would be for a better ride unloaded. The truck only drops 1.5 inches under my heavy fiver, so I'm not looking to beef it up for towing so much.

I'll need to drive it a few miles before I make a decision. Compared to my '06 F-350, the '11 F-450 seems to be a much better ride unloaded - and my wife and her bad back said so!

But to answer your question, I haven't seen any owner reviews on the R4Tech yet, just a couple of press announcements and magazine reviews that don't mention much in the way of dependability or heavy towing.
