So my best option is to run some bio through it and keep an eye on the filters? Is there a good way to find a bio seller? I haven't found any stations here in san diego, and I was hoping there's maybe a website I could go to?

It's not a very thorough site as there are locations around here that sell it that this site doesn't list. Something else that you may find is that some stations put a sticker on their pumps advertising biodiesel but actually don't sell it. They may have got it one time and dropped it, but never pealed the stickers back off. Something to look for on the pumps is a rating like B2 or B5 or B10. The 2 would be 2% bio fuel, the 5 would mean 5% and so on. Around here you typically find the B2 or B5. I have seen a few places in Indiana as much as B20. I have not seen any place selling B100, but I have heard they do exist. The B2 has a better lubricity rating than any diesel fuel treatment out there. So as for using biodiesel to clean your fuel system, any of it would do it.
Right now I'm running Motorcraft 15W40 (the "ford diesel recomended" stuff). No oil addatives. No, not adding lucas or other "cleaners" concistantly, I've only added it 3 times in the 2 years I've had it... I just changed the fuel filter yesterday, and I'm not sure what it looked like new, but it was jet black... the fuel in the bowl looked clean, and I haven't driven it since I swapped the filter, so I'm not sure if it's better now...
"Jet Black"? Well how does she run after the fresh filter was installed? I just installed an AFE fuel filter, not that I could tell any difference.. btw, I plan on running B20 although it's @ $4.25 a gallon in Santa Fe. I'm thinking San Diego would have a bunch of bio retailers and maybe at least 1 or 2 producers but I could be wrong.. Perhaps try these folks:

I'm getting a slight "gasser miss" that is very sporadic when the truck is cold and running at low RPM's. I changed the fuel filter about a week ago and it helped, but it is still there. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
i just drove her for the first time since i replaced the fuel filter and she's a totally different truck! no jerking, nothing. that's the smoothest she's ran since i got her! as for bio, that biodiesel.org web page shows a couple close to me, so i think i'll check it out. i've never run bio, so i'm currious to see the differences between that and regular diesel. thanks guys!

For one thing, the bio smells much better when burned!
I would keep a new fuel filter on hand. Maybe 2 of them! The bio will clean her out if she's got dirt in the fuel system. You may notice the injector noise a little less running biodiesel. Some folks do notice a difference, some don't. As for the smell, B2 won't be noticeable at least to me it isn't. B20 though, definitely!

I'd like to get a hold of some B100 this summer. . .
The state of california has passed a law that prohibits the sale of anything over b20 to the general public, so I have a feeling b20 is as good as I can get for now...
