Exclamation How screwed am I?

Had a little off road experience that ended pretty nast, slid sideways into a a raised patch w/ a stump and hit the front wheel.

Heres some of the damage. let me know what you think is up and how much this would cost to fix, or can I do it myself?

Thanks,

-M

Looks like a bent knuckle. Maybe you can find a stock replacement piece from someone putting a lift on their truck. 97-2003 should be the same, but you might want to double check that.

I'll assume you were still sliding sideways when the wheel/tire hit whatever bent it all?

If so and its just the knuckle it would be an easy DIY thing---should be plenty of those available in salvage yards or like already suggested from someone doing a lift, modification or perhaps parting something out?

Once the knuckle is replaced maybe head off to a knowledgeable alignment shop just to make sure nothing else is bent too. I hope its not though!

Let me start off by saying I am extremely sorry that I never replied. You guys went out of your way to help me out and it was pretty, well lets call it rude for the sake of not offending, for me not to respond. I was caught up in life at the time and I wanted to give an overdue thanks.

I did end up getting a knuckle and arm but ended up paying a little more as time was a factor. So you hit the nail on the head on that part. Again thank you and sorry for leaving you out in the wind

Ha ha yes I was sideways, you would be amazed by how fast you can apparently go sideways in an expedition and not roll. I ended up with a a knuckle, arm for the shown damage. The alignment was done and had a few things checked at a shop (tightened, looked at, ect) just to be sure I wasn't going to have a wheel fall off or something that I didn't see.

Other rim ended up being bent, when the tire came off it was very obvious.
Picked up a rear quarter window and did that swap, still in search of a valence or what ever the term is for the plastic below front bumper. My truck needs no skirt I need both quarter panels whenever I find a deal on those but I'm not in a hurry as it's looks. Obviously if looks had been important to me I would not have been doing what I was doing.

Thank you guys again for offering advice at the time

I love the line "My truck needs no skirt!"

Glad you got this up and running and replied---nice knowing we might have been of just a bit of help. Sadly we can only speculate here, can't help turn a wrench or swing a hammer though!
