scratching my head

Hello everyone. Maybe you can shed some light for me. I have an 01 F-350 S/D. It has the 7.3 in it. It is giving me the dreaded P1316 code. I traced the wires and they are fine. I have a spare truck around so I pulled IDM and put it in. Not fixed. So I then pulled the computer out and put it in.... no fix. I checked all the fuses...GOOD. I checked and swapped the relays.... All GOOD. .. Like title says... Scratching my head... Can anyone tell me what else there is... Oh btw I pulled fuel filter and replaced it as well. The fuel bowl was full and clean.

Sounds like it might be one of your UVCH's (Under Valve Cover Harness) there is a way to check this without pulling your valve covers but right now I can't remember the pinout and the how to. do a serch for UVCH and you should find it.

Rather than do all that testing, just get it over with and pull the valve covers to tighten down the loose connection.
