ok im thinkin that its my airdog II but not sure. my dad borrowed my truck for a few days and when i got it back i noticed that my fuel pressure was at 60 psi like it should be but when i get in the throttle about half way it drops dramatically to 45 psi and full throttle its goes below 40. never had this problem till after i got it back. i thought it was bad fuel so ran that tank out and filled up with good stuff. drained the water sep. and it was straight fuel. changed out the airdog II filter and still no change. the top fuel fiter was changed about 10k miles ago. and on top of all that now when i turn my key on my airdog acts like it had no pressure in it to begin with and sounds really weird. anyone have any ideas. i also have an itp rr so i dont think i can do the spring update
Have you checked the adjustment screw on the ADII? Are you taking the fuel pressure reading from the test port or the ITP regulator? Sounds like the pump's going bad to me too. My first one (had a leaking motor seal) would fall off to 40/45 at WOT but my replacement doesn't budge from 58 at WOT.
yea thats how mine was until a few days ago. actually started right after the coolant filter deal i had on here. im reading it from the test port which if im reading that low of pressure there then im sure its lower at the regulator. ITP told me though to read off the test port not theres because they are having trouble with there gauges. and yes i checked the screw and its all tight. even tried adjusting it for more pressure and it didnt do anything.
