Rancho Wireless Controller
I took the better part of a day to do it, but I am more than a touch AR and took the time to do it really well. Custom brackets to mount controller, no crimp connections, routed hoses really cleanly.
Thoughts:
- Super convenient! Not having to crawl underneath is very nice. Makes me want to get with the program and add remote control to my air bags!
- Works just as they describe.
- Install went fine. No air leaks, no real problems.
- The little air line cutter they provided looks cheesy, but worked very well.
- I used silicone dielectric grease to lightly lube the O-rings and the ends of the air lines before inserting. Worked very well.
- I am still not that impressed with Rancho's approach to damping valving. WAYYY too much (and nowhere near digressive enough) compression damping. Primitive.
- Due to that, using any of their default settings resulted in an unnecessarily harsh ride. So I use only the MyRide setting and adjust them as needed. I was happiest with 0/0 for empty truck, bumped up to 1/3 when travel trailer was hitched up.

My truck is mildly lifted so the risk of submerging these in a water crossing is still very, very low. It would have to be over 24" of water, and the fan would be slapping water as well. I try to avoid that!
