i am new to navi-land. I bought my wife one friday for $2500. The first thing I want to do is lower the suspension. I hate riding high. I'm used to cars that hate speed bumps. I've done some digging and have come up pretty empty handed. I am looking for an affordale air suspension kit. It can be bags all the way around, or bag the rear and air shocks up front, or lowerin springs in the front and bags in the rear...I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE COMBINATION as long as it has a decent ride and I can drop it at least 2 inches. I have learned how to adjust the rear with the sensor but, since the front isn't air, the front remains high. Any help you can offer is great.
You guys will probably see a lot of me asking questions about this and that. Thanx in advance.
Your starting out with the wrong vehicle if you wanna scrape the speed bumps.
Welcome to the board.
Its a 4x2. i don't want to scrape the ground, just drop it. I don't like SUVs just b/c of the high center of gravity but my wife insisted that i get her one...so i gave in and did. i think it would look better lowered, be a little safer, and it would be a good project for me. o, and please believe, it won't stop there. i build cars for a living so Im gonna have a lot of fun with it. im working on the speakerboxxx as we speak. the fiberglass is drying.
If it's HER Navigator you should be like the Burger King and let her have it her way. She probably likes the idea of being able to see what's in front of her when SHE drives. It sounds like you are about to make HER truck into YOUR car and that's not cool. You bought the truck for her so leave it alone until she asks for mods. Just suggest some mods and let her choose if you like having a happy and satisfied wife. Otherwise do whatever you want to HER truck and bear the consequences. This could be you soon or maybe this .
A Japanese friend told me that a happy wife makes a happy husband.
I can see I'm not going enjoy this forum. My wife likes to customize as much as I do. She was the one that asked me to drop it. Furthermore, it is also for the safey of my children as well as my wife. I live in atlanta and people out her can't drive. I don't want her to have a roll over situation. All I asked was for a little help finding an air ride kit. If you were not going to make any suggestions, why did you leave a comment.
If you don't like Fords and/or Ford lovers take your tired BMW/chevvy *** elsewhere where you might get some love and respect. With the attitude you have shown here so far, you will get neither here.
You should have bought her a station wagon and dropped that. It's really kind of stupid to buy an SUV and then reengineer it into a hippity-hop california low rider and probably put some 24 inch blings on it so you can look cool in the ghetto or da hood or the barrio. In any case enjoy your stay elsewhere, I don't think you will be missed here. Bye
Thankyou. Have a great day. If you don't like Fords and/or Ford lovers take your tired Bmw/chevvy *** elsewhere where you might get some love and respect. Bye!
I already hate FORDS and FORD DRIVERS. I tried to give you all a chance but I see that was a mistake.
Try decaf, it should help with the people skills. No one here is being paid to converse with you, or provide you with any help whatsoever, it's all volunteer.
Now, there's a reason you were asked if you really want to do this. All to often we get some 17-year old kid who just got his license, that wants to take it upon himself to start modifying daddy's truck. So whenever someone comes here with questions about working on, or modifying, a vehicle that they say is someone else's, we give them the 'are you sure you want to do this' treatment. Most will stop and think about it and probably save both themselves and the vehicle's owner a lot of aggravation.
Alloro, you're wasting your typing skills. This guy hates Fords and Ford drivers and went back to his BMW site where he gets love and respect. It sounded like he bought his wife a SUV and decided to make it his. Hopefully he'll stay in the ghetto with his blinged out low rider where he belongs.

I assume you're the only intelligent person on this forum

Original complaint post by Slimm titled "ternet thug rant":
Ok. This crap really pisses me off. I bought my wife a navigator (1st mistake. I hate fords). That's what she asked for. We needed a bigger car. We just had a baby and the baby bucket was taking up half of the back seat. Literally! I joined the ford truck enthusiast forum seeking info on suspension systems. I want to lower it to drop the center of gravity to make it a little safer for my wife and family. Anyhoo, these cats jumped all over me asking why am I changing my WIFES truck. Its her truck, let her do it, blah blah blah. This one cat starts throwing around racial **** and threarening me. I was like WTF?!!! I HATE internet thugs! Come see bought me!!! We can throw hands if u really want to get down!!! Ya dig?! Anyway, that **** pissed me off and I just wanted to vent. Thanx for reading.
...and then the lulz...
...just a taste of the picture magic that followed the original post. Some of our finest researchers believe they have figured out his true intention was to put "Come see 'bout me", a common challenge term in urban environments, but this is only theoretical, and not nearly as funny.
Anyways, fine ladies and gentlemen of ford-trucks.com, enjoy your day.
