i'm trying to wire up a back up alarm and my tailgate doesn't open. from prying at the light(driver side) i think it's two purple wires but i'm not sure.
The power feed to the back-up lights in an 88 is BLACK/PINK. If your Bronco has a factory trailer connector, you can us the BLACK/PINK wire running to it for the alarm... its the same wire.
thank you so much. It was getting close to the time to pick my fiance up from college and the computer started being retarded.
it does have a factory trailer connector. i grounded it to it's mounting bolt through the bumper but if that doesn't work what color is the ground for any of the tail lights, or would the reverse light ground be the best?
Okay, i don't see a black/pink wire. to the trailor switch is a brown, yellow, white and another color wire. theres what looks like a pink/green wire, and i'm guessing the black/white wire is the ground.trailer wires:white, yellow grey(?), brown wires going too a grey conector: pur/grn, pur/pnk, blk/wht, pnk/orng(or solid pink)
