wow i am just to cheap i guess i wouldnt think much over 4k its gonna have problems because its sat too long good luck
i bought a 85 crown victoria 3 years ago with 49,000 miles. sat for years, once i got it it needed exhaust, radiator, thurmostat, water pump. It all went when i started daily driving it. Oh and both front calipers.
Not sayin that trucks gonna be that way but theres a good chance.
It was just recently taken on a 1000 mile trip, a/c compressor was the only thing that gave problems and it was replaced. I'm thinking the synthetic oil was a good move and the fact that is has been driven occasionally makes this truck an exceptional find. Calipers and exhaust are minimal repairs if they were to be needed. The pictures were taken as it was--no detailing whatsoever! The headache rack was put on with gaskets to protect the paint so that off would probably dress it up a lot!
Like everyone says, there are a lot of problems with a vehicle that's been sitting for that long. Changing the fluids to synthetic "to prevent damage to the seals" makes absolutely no sense. If the seals and gaskets are already dried out, how does it matter what you put in the engine? Nothing is going to "prevent" damage that's already been done. Having the original tires is not exactly a selling point either. They are likely so dried out that I wouldn't trust them to go any farther than the local tire shop to get new ones. The body and the interior are in great shape no doubt, but I would expect to buy new tires, new wheel cylinders, calipers, a new master cylinder, and possibly new gaskets and seals in the motor.

Who cares? Let them sell it for whatever it sells for. If you think it's too much, don't make an offer. Easy enough. It's for a good cause.
