I did the hutch mod on the truck today. It is running better, but the truck still seems like it is misfiring. The injectors are real noisy. I also found that the engine light flashes sporadically as I am driving. I also found out that the voltage regulator went bad in the alternator. Would having low voltage cause truck to run rough?
Anymore input would be appreciated. Thanks again

Troy,
One more thing to think about...
There might be some debris on the pre-pump filter screen as well. You mentioned that you replaced your fuel pump a while back and the truck ran great for a while and then the symptoms returned. If I remember correctly, there is a small screen on the intake side of your filter. It's possible that it's partially restricted by any debris that escaped from the tank before you performed the hutch mod.
If that was the case, then I'd imagine that your engine would run nice and smooth at idle and part throttle and the engine miss would appear under moderate to heavy throttle or on the highway.
Just throwing ideas out there for consideration...
With the truck running tonight, I pulled the plug to the IPR and the way it ran never changed a bit. I went through the IPR recently and rebuilt and cleaned the debris out of it.
Is it time to just replace the darn thing or what?
