Cabin Air Filter
Hey all. Were going through the pollen stage here in FL. I have been running my A/C and was curious if our trucks, "mine is a late 99" have cabin air filters. If someone has a write up on replacement i would love to see it. If no write up writen instructions would be great. Thanks Yall

i did a BING search and found that WIX makes a cabin filter for our truck.. It comes a kit and must be installed.. didn't see a price.. click on the link and fill in the boxes and you will get to the filter kit.. see:

this was under the wix website description of the filter
"Principal Application: Ford, Lincoln Trucks + SUVs (97-04) - Not factory equipped w/ a cabin air filter - kit must be installed at dealer before this filter can be used"
that stinks...

I would guess it kit would be installed under the air intake grill, just in front of the windshield..

I would say that would be the "exit" of the interior air flow..the "entrance" air is just in front of the wind shield, which would normally have the filter...(that's where the cabin filter is located on my 08 impala.. I know, not a good example !)~

I believe those are to allow air out of the cab for moments such as slamming the doors closed of having the air on.

O.P. Most trucks do not have this but you might.

There was a thread long ago on this: The filter was an option as far as I know and is mounted as I remember on the passengers side under the dash......you must buy the "kit" first to do the install, then replacement filters are available to fit it.
