I wish I had a lift that's the way I would do it but I don't have one. So I'll figure it out. I just wanted to be sure the fenders could hold the weight of the font clip and the extra weight won't bent the roof when I lift it off. As for the speed sensor I'll figure something out. Thanks for the help.

What ever you do, don't lift with anything rigid like chain or cable, it will bend the cab roof line. A lift strap is pretty much the only option. However, I have heard of using 4x4's to lift by, but seems a little risky to me, but there are ways to reduce possibility of slippage. Definitely have the doors off though, as they will likely be damaged if left in place.

No I wasn't gonna use chain or cable. I was going to do the 4x4's with spacersto keep them spaced. And I was wondering about the doors but you answered that. Or I can just use like a tow strap?

Tow straps aren't rated for vertical lifting. If you could get an actual lift strap, you could possibly use the looped ends to go around the 4x4, then lift at the center.I have used regular lift straps but not the 4x4, but also have not tried putting the cab on anything... The clip was off as well. Seems most times, I tear them down, rather than go back together.

are the 93 clutch pedals the same as the 95? I found a 93 clutch pedal on ebay but not sure it will fit my 95 cab.

My name is Shelly and I am writting from Alaska. A customer has a grip of f250's and wants to do some bartering and body popping. 1980 F250 body onto a 1983 F260 rolling chassis. I understand the 260 is just a way to confuse us and may only mean it was the 4x4 trans. No problem if we have to do some drilling here and there to get her snugged up. From what I have gathered I think we can do it. In exchange I will be getting a 76 with a 351 cleveland, (2 wheel drive boo) and a 86 no engine but 4x4 trans. Can it be done? Thank you

260 is a typo correct? There was no 260.

All the regular cabs will swap and bolt on from 80 thru-96. The frame has to be a regular cab frame though, a super cab needs a super cab frame.

Also Ford never put a 351 cleveland into a truck except in Australia. You probably will be getting a 351m. Not the greatest engine Ford ever produced, but if it runs ok.

80 F150 Custom

Are the doors on a 1980 F150 custom interchangeable with doors on a 1992-93 Ford f 250 extended cab?

Yes. There is a minor difference somewhere, I want to say the vent window area, but they still fit. Other minor differences may be the door panels and such. But they fit the hole and operate like they should.

Perhaps I missed it in another post but just to get it on here officially in case I didn't:

The cab of a cab/chassis (D) is the same/swappable as that of a pickup (T), correct? If so, for 80-96 also?

Edit: Yep, I did just gloss over it on page 3. Sorry. fellro86 confirmed that they are. Thanks
