Drive shaft support bearing question

Okay, havent done this one yet, looks to be two bolts for the carrier, 4 for the drive shaft, some form of alignment mark for the shaft, but what about the boot, can I get new hose clamps for this, or they reusable?, Do I need to press the shaft out, or will it just come out? EIther way, looks like fun..

Did mine a couple years back, Just drove it off with a brass hammer and used a Tye wrap on the boot.

I had to use a press to get that bearing off, too.
When it let go there was a large CRACK noise, it was siezed on there pretty good.

An overnight soak with PB Blaster or Kroll Oil will loosen it right up.

I really didn't need to wait when I had a press handy right next to me.

IT is of my opinion that if its the same subject, and you need help, it is not a hijack..you may have just asked a question someone else in wondering..

another trick for those with no press, is a torch and heat up the inner race. Even a small MAPP gas torch will work.

are you just using the press to get the bearing off and the new one just slides on?

its not bad at all. take the drive shaft off. i used a puller and pulled the bearing off. then to reinstall use a piece of pipe and mallet to get the new beaing on. i posted a thread a while back about the 2 different sizes. when you go to get the part they have two differnt sizes. ill try to find the thread and repost for you
