Removing Amber Goop From Computer

Removing Amber Goop From Computer
The sealing goop that covers the circuit board on my computer is soft and saturated with water.
Is there some chemical, or an easy way to dissolve this stuff?
This is the computer on a W250 1990 Dodge.
Aint no junk yards around here and a new one is way out of my budget.
Any help, Ideas, or a place to get a used one would sure help.
The truck is running in limp mode. I am hoping if I can remove the goop and dry it out that it will work for a while till I can afford a new one.
