2 Shadetree mechanics took 1 of the long round steel stabilizer bars(?) off so he could replace the A-Frame,rack and pinion, and a couple other parts near the front wheel due to a wreck.
He put everything back on but cannot get the long steel stabilizer bar (?) back into the holes? They laid there all day and cannot get the bar back into the 2 holes saying the frame is bent, even though it came out for them fairly easy?
I have looked at the bar and it is straight.Any suggestions on how can i get this back into the 2 holes? Do i have to take everything back off first? (a frame, etc)?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, tried to drive it like it was, only 1 bar under the drivers side frame and the truck looked kinda ****-eyed....the other bar needs to be back in place.
Sounds like you're talking torsion bars. Did they release the tensioners? Do they have the weight off the front end? Have they tried raising and lowering the suspension on each side to get them to line up better? Is the problem there is too much twist on the bars for the flats to align?
