Just wondering if anyone has a good fix for tires rubbing? I have a 2003 6.0L XLT Supercab with 6" lift and 35" tires. The tires rub the springs when turning left or right sharply. I was thinking spacers, but I am afraid they could cause more problems than solutions. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
I don't have any lift, but from what I've read most people dont rub with 35"s and that much lift. You might need a different offset rim.
I found it unusual that I am rubbing too. I'll have to look into the offset issue. You probably can't see much, but this is what i've got on there. The only pic I have is from the right rear tire.
1. Narrower tires.
2. Wheels with more negative offset.
3. Steel wheel spacers (2" wide machined steel, not crap aluminum ones).
4. Install stop spacers to limit steering.
Of those four, I would only do #1 or #2. Can't really afford to lose steering on these large trucks, and the steel spacers, though better than aluminum, are still a weak point.
