Another EBPV question

Have had the infamous hidden leak for 6 month or more. Finally pulled Turbo today. Looks like leak is Orings between turbo and pedestal. EPBV valve seems OK but to prevent future leaks, Is it OK to just wire the flapper open, leave EBPV disconnected and unplug the wiring (with resistor)?
I have read about every post on this subject but am still not totally clear.
Thanks in advance

I just disconnected mine and installed the resistor and it has been working good. My truck is running way better with my short commute to work in the morning.

This thread my answer some of your questions:

There is no need to wire it open. With the solenoid unplugged it won't activate and will stay open.
