Kick Panel Template

Does anyone have a template for the kick panels on a 54 F100. I would like to get a pattern so I can make my kick panels. The end product will be a set of sturdy panels that I can mount speakers into.

  • I just redid mine (53) and used "door skin"/luan from Home depot. I had to cut and reshape twice to get it just where I wanted it. The wood was about 3/32 thick 4' X 8' and cost about $10 bucks, plus it cut with a razor knife. The idea came from someone that posted about a headliner of the same material

Thanks for the ideas. Once I get a template I will probably use MDF board so I can put a speaker in it. The MDF allows for the vibration of the speaker output so you have better clarity with the sound.

I use cardboard when I need a template and trim and trim until I get the pattern I need. Works every time. For precision patterns I use poster paper to trim a pattern.

I found the picture of the kick panels . I cut a pattern out of cardboard until it fit and then cut a piece of luan. I covered them with vinyl and used three stainless screws to install them.

Those look great. I just picked up some poster paper to make a pattern. Hopefully I can have them finished in the next week or so.

I Love your interior, what brake pedal setup did you use, please pardon my asking? Thanks.

I used 1/8" aluminum for my panels, which are perfectly flat on a '52. That gives the speakers something solid to push against. Also allows surface mounted speakers, no cutting of the structure.

The brake pedal, gas pedal and the emergency brake pedal all came out of a 1995 T-bird.
