I would personally not waste you time trying to make one and just buy one. I been there done that and it's not a easy area area making up some tube when you could just go buy one for cheap. My .02
yeah dont make it, that was only done to get the truck on the road, i had to have it for horse transport and hay purposes, it was down too long and the source i had said it would take too long, so just get the one from ATS or Banks, either should route it right. gotta get the wife onboard with the truck lol.
Or do I just bail on the tranny tube and the whole tranny with it and bolt up the zf5? Im debating on trying the install with my current motor in. I know it would be alot easier with the motor out but the only thing that concerns me is the wirings. What to do with the e4od wiring and find what the zf needs to connect to.
while were talking turbo setups does anyone have a pic of these setups installed on there motor preferably out of the vehical......and is it possible to build your own manifold and plumbing setups for a conversion(motor and zf5 going in 79 supercab 4X4 dually)standard type turbo setup just rerouted for clearence and if fesable material recommendations?????????
Here is a pic of mine installed, I don't know of the clearance for a 79' though. Many have brainstormed and talked about custom piping but I haven't seen anyone do it yet.
84 6.9L.... i'd love to see how your motor sits in your truck.... and i may not have a choice on the custom plumbing cause my supercab is ac and a 1" body lift is the most i can squeeze without movin the bumper...and i don't wanna raise that up...
is the turbo mounted to the exhaust cross over pipes or some kind of pedastel????????
