I was wandering if anyone would have some ideas or maybe even some pic to help me out . By the way i dont listen to rap or any of that crap just country i just want my music to sound a little better
i have a 82 f150, and i put 2 10in subs behind my seat , i had to build a custom box for them though. And i still have good leg room and everything, but i need to get a amp.
They also sell "truck boxes" if you have issues with carpentry as I do. As long as the volume matches what your speaker requires you will be good to go.
I just installed a complete system in my regular cab. I have a 600w 10" shallow mount Memphis Audio sub in a thin box. I'm about average height so my seat is not all the way back. With the seat in a comfortable position the box has room. I don't listen to Rap either but I learned that bass is important. I put in an Alpine 103BT, I wanted the bluetooth for the cell phone. I used Alpine S series component speakers in the doors. At first It sounded good but I realized I was only hearing highs and mid-range. I wasn't hearing any drums or bass guitars. I put the subwoofer in and wow the whole thing came to life. For about $700 I have probably the best sound system I have ever owned.
To me my stock Ford AM/FM cassette, with stock Ford Premium speakers, and stock speaker baffels, gives out just the right bass and loudness for me. It will vibrate the mirrors etc...
Now if you want cab rattling bass, forget that idea.

You make an excellent point. It's all about personal taste. Mine is a daily drive and I will spend 2+ hours a day driving in traffic. So I wanted quality sound over quantity. The owner of the audio shop gave me a great price on the sub, amp, and box so I took it knowing I would never crank it full. So it really does depend on your personal taste.
well the kid that had thr truck befor me put a crappy sound system and ya its a wireing mess so ya want a decent sound system and bass makes a different in country music and thanks for-lover1995
