i have a 82 f100 and its about ready for paint. i was just gonna paint it a kinda dark silver, but i got this idea today. like the whole truck flat black, with gloss black flames goin down the side about to the door, and on the hood about as far back as on the side with it all tied together, and maybe some dark red high lights mixed in with it evry once n a while but not poppin out but like blended in with it. how do yall think this would look? i know it would be a hard thing to do but i have a freind that does custom paint jobs.
I am partial to original, but that is just me. Everyone is entitled to paint as they see fit. Your idea sounds good to my mind's eye. What really matters is what you think and how you feel about it. Follow your heart and you will be happy!
As someone who spent about $40 on good quality, camouflage rattle cans, against all advice... I love my paint job. Gaudy or not, if you prep the truck well-enough, it will hold up. For an old hunting, fishing, hauling, and project truck, I love it.
Painted my truck satin black a few months ago and I love the way it came out. I wanted something that would be durable, and that wouldn't require a heap of maintenance. Down the road I will probably go back to the original color, but for now, using the truck like I do, having this paint is alot less stressful than a shiny new $2000 job
