I have heard of some guys converting their diesel to run on grease. Is this possible. Aparently all they had to do was have two gas tanks, one for diesel and one for grease, and they would start the engine on diesel and let it worm up and then switch to the grease tank. I think they also had to get a new filter as well, and problem some other changes, but i don't remember. I was just wondering if this is correct, and if so has anyone done it. thanks
You have to have second tank and you have to have a way of warming the tank the grease is in. The one I helped a friend with we installed a electrical warmer and a fluid based warmer plumbed off the radiator.

does running your truck (or your friends truck) off of grease have any negative side affects, like a lose of power, i can imagine that it might smell pretty bad as well, is this true? I was also thinking that if saves you that much money why doesn't everyone do it?
thanks
