ok, im trying to find a Dana 60 front axle and a 10 1/4 rear end for my 94 f150. its already got a 6inch body lift and a 3inch suspension lift sittin on 38.5inch nitto mudd grapplers. im working on lifting it 4 to 5 more inches and squeeze some 44inch boggers or tsl radials on it but im to concerned that the TTB wont take it so im searchin for those axles. i know some of the 92 to 96 f250s have Dana 60 front ends and 10 1/4 rear but i need some help searching for them. any ideas would be greatly appreciated. this is my project.
Actually, I don't believe any of the F-250's during the EFI years will have a Dana 60. Only the F-350 had a Dana 60. The F-250's during those years had the TTB Dana 50 front axles. However, you are correct in that both the F-250 (HD) and the F-350 had full floating 10.25" rear axles. Just be aware that there is also a light duty F-250 during the 92-96 years that had a semi-floating 10.25" axle.
The 10.25" rear should be easy enough to find at a junk yard as they are found on a large number of trucks and vans, but the front axle is going to be harder to find. Unless you frequent the JY often, the Dana 60's are usually picked from the vehicle before too long, and finding one on Craigslist or Ebay is going to usually cost $1000 or more. The best deal is to find somebody with a worn out F-350 just sitting around and offer to take the whole truck of their hands for them.
yea i have a buddy that has a 10 1/4 rear end but im debaiting on whether to rebuild it or just slide it in. the truck im getting it off of has not been driven much in its lifetime but when driven it was doin some serious hauling like anything from towing boats to towing a goose neck trailer filled with I-beams to local job sites.
ya i got a 93 f250 n i got that stupid ttb. a dana 60 out of a 88-98 f350 will fit but make sure it didnt come out of a dullay other wise ur front tires r going to be sticking half way out ur fenders. it wont hurt anything just look funny, but if u plan on running wide tires it will help with keeping ur tires from rubing. its alot stronger then spacer also

Be prepared to break things.....a lot. That amount of body lift is going to cause you some problems.
Anyway, as already said, you will be better off looking for a donor truck with the front and rear axles you are looking for. At least that way you will have matching gear ratios and some heavier duty other parts you'll need.
Then again, your going to need a gear change anyway, especially when you go to 44s. Still be cheaper I think to find a donor truck.
yea. i have 4.56 gears in it right now which is perfect gears for what i have on it right now. i have alot of work to do in front of me but it will all be worth it in the end. i thank god every night that i have patients cause thats what it takes.
I believe the kingpin is going to be slightly stronger, but the main advantage is going to be in the ease of service compared to the ball joint version.
yeah. i was curious about another thing. is there anyway you can beef up a TTB axle? i have heard about people doing it but i dont know a thing about TTB axles. im more knowledged about solid axles.

6in BODY LIFT!!!!?????!!!!!pics please?
finding a D60 will usually cost at or around $1000 plus fabrication is needed since your ttb is coil sprung and a d60 is leaf sprung.. so donor truck ftw!! that way you can use everything off it to your truck and save a few head aches.
around here it is like striking gold to find a d60 front axle for a resonable price... but d44s can be had <$500. i say keep peeled eyes for craigslist at many cities around you. and look for the best deal you can, whether just the axle or a whole truck
re gearing can be really expensive too but if you can do it yourself save $$ and have at it!
Try searching on crazedlist.org it will search multiple craiglist locations at the same time. Thats where I found my current project. 94 F350 crew 4x4, got the whole truck and drove it home for just over $1000
