help with holley carb please
when is was rebuilding the carb I saw that the fast idle cam was broke and missing the most part,I got one in and can't finger out if this the right way it goes on! looks right but it does nothing ,just flops around. I can see how it should work but what makes it rotate to set the idle up when it starts when it cold or cool out? and is the choke plunger going to have any restance or what makes it work?thanks for stopping by.

The tension from the bi-metal spring inside the black choke cover is what operates the choke plate and fast idle cam, Your problem appears to be that the choke lever for the choke plate rod is installed incorrectly. The lever should be below the fast idle cam, not above as your photo shows.
