I just got my f8 and unhooked the batteries, cleaned the ECM, plugged it in and ran for few min died and won't start.. Any ideas? Ses light is on also.
Rememeber to take the keys out while you mess with it, I know you had the batteries unhooked the first time, but it's easy to forget it the second or third time. Like he said, make sure it's seated good and in place. Make sure all your other connections are good and you have the switch in the right place.

Unplug and everything is ok.
If you unplug the chip from the PCM and it runs fine, you either have to: 1) recheck/clean the connections on the PCM where the chip plugs in, 2) make sure you didn't overscrub the tin off the connections, or 3) check the connection into the back of the switcher. That would be where the usual problems lie.
