I tried to do a search on this but did not find much and really dont have the time I need this fixed by morning.
So here is the deal. IT CAME OFF. I have been hearing a squeak so I thought I would take the belt off and see if it was one of the pulleys well after i got the belt off I heard a pop and realized the whole tesioner with both pulleys looked loose so I reached down and just pulled the whole thing off.
Now what? I see the bolt still in the end of the shaft that it fits over but what the hell was holding it on??
The tensioner is held on by one bolt in the center (between the two pulleys). There are 2 lugs on the back that slide into grooves to help keep it locked in place.
Got any pictures? You can buy the whole tensioner with both pulleys at the local parts store. They usually have them in stock if you're in a pinch. You'll need to re-use your original mounting bolt.
