having a problem with a 1986 f 150 4x4. its missing out real bad i have changed the plugs, plug wires, cap and button. i double checked the plug wires to make sure i didnt have any crossed. was woundering if the catalitic converter might be causing the problem

The first thing you should always do with a computer controlled engine and pull codes. There's a lot of good info on how to pull codes and what they mean at this site.
