Turbo boost ?

When I drove from South Carolina to Eglin AFB Florida last week I did 70 MPH the whole way and RPM's were @ 1900 - 2000 and my turbo boost was between 1 1/2 to 2 pounds of boost, is this normal for that speed or should I not have any boost at all till I go higher in speed. How much does the wastegate play a part? I have a Banks Big Head wastegate installed. Im still learning and trying to understand it all.

At that speed I usually see more like 5 lbs of boost. But i suppose it could be the difference in the mods I have versus the ones you have.

I usually saw 5-8 in my stock tune, but I have my red tube pulled and plugged going to the waste gate and I tightened my actuator rod. I would think that is low. You probably have a boost leak or your rod is too loose. Then again I dont know much about the banks, but when I asked a vendor about it he said you can just tighten your rod and get the same affect.

I also had about 500 lbs in the bed. I will ck for any boost leaks and maybe tightend the act rod up 1 or 2 turns and go from there.

I went by the instructions that came with it, not sure how many turns it told me too turn it. I know I put it on the correct way I must have read those instructions at least 25 times when I installed it just so I wouldnt screw anything up.
